Evie was born on a pirate ship, the daughter of two notorious and fearless chipmunk pirates who sailed under the banner of the Sharkbait Gang. She grew up among the rough and tumble crew, learning how to fight, sail, and loot from a young age. She loved her parents and admired their courage and skill, and wanted to be just like them.

One day, when Evie was eight years old, her ship was attacked by a rival pirate gang, who had a grudge against her parents. the battle was fierce and bloody, and Evie watched in horror as her parents were cut down by the enemy captain, a cruel and vicious rat, Razak the Ruthless. She tried to avenge her parents, but was knocked overboard by a blast of cannon fire. She plunged into the water, where she was surrounded by hungry sharks.

Just when Evie thought she was going to die, she felt a surge of anger and determination. She grabbed a dagger from her belt, and stabbed the nearest shark in the eye, making it retreat. She then swam to the surface where she saw a piece of driftwood. She climbed on it, and used it as a makeshift raft. She hoped that someone from her crew would find her, but no one came. She was alone in the vast and unforgiving sea.

She drifted for days, surviving on rainwater and raw fish. She also had to fend off more sharks, who seemed to be drawn to her. She wondered why they kept following her, until she realized that they could smell the blood of her parents on her. She decided to embrace this, and used it to lure the sharks closer, so she could kill them and eat them. She also took their teeth and made them into a necklace, as a sign of her strength and defiance. She gave herself the nickname Evie Sharkbait, and vowed to never forget or forgive what the rat pirates had done to her.

She soon discovered that the world was full of wonders and dangers, and that there were more than just pirates and sharks in the sea. She encountered many strange and magical creatures and places, and learned a lot about the world and its history. She also learned how to use a sword and an axe, and how to channel her rage into a powerful force. She became a fierce and fearless warrior, who never backed down from a challenge or a fight.

She joined several pirate crews, but none of them felt like home. She was always looking for the rat pirates who had kille dher parents, hoping to get her revenge. She also hoped to find the Sharkbait Gang, or at least some of their members, and reunite with them.
